Extra Edge Community Services is running a project aimed at helping people from a diverse background get into apprenticeships and traineeships. If you have clients from a non-English speaking background or whom identify themselves as culturally diverse we can help. To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship clients need to have permanent resident status and not hold Cert III or higher qualifications in their field of interest.
One of the main outcomes of this project is to map a best practice system to help this target group successfully access apprenticeships and traineeships, including the role of community based organisations. There is also some funding available to assist the project participants. A flyer for this project is attached.
