LEARNING AND WORK EXPLORATION EVENING

Our fourth and final evening for 2008 will be a celebration of the many achievements over the year by students, teachers and employers in developing the skills of young people both in education and in employment. A special CONGRATULATIONS must go to Prestige Catering & Event Hire who won the 2008 Business of the Year on Saturday. Michael McCafferty will be present at the above event and any young person interested in a career in Hospitality should be there to talk to him. Brendan Carlin who won the 40 Under 40 Business Award in 2008 will also be there to talk to students and parents about his career as a master locksmith. The evening is one that links young people with employers in small business and we hope you can join us for MOCKTAILS and LIVE MUSIC to celebrate the future potential growth of business and commerce in this region.

Tony Baker an Environmental Health & Safety Manager with Alcoa will be joining us at the cafe to talk about the importance of science in industry and dispel the myth that white coats are confined to the lab.
